Showing Rules

  1. Stallions may enter a maximum of:
    • THREE classes in the Breed & Open Halter Section (please see rule #6 also).
    • THREE classes in the Type & In Hand Halter Section.
    • FOUR classes in the Young Stallion Section.
    • A stallion may enter as many classes as he is eligible in the Restricted Halter Section.
  2. Stallions between the ages of zero and three years old may ONLY enter in Young Stallion classes and no other section.
  3. Stallions over the age of three years old may not enter Young Stallion classes.
  4. Failure to include breed and age division in the correct format will result in disqualification from the show.
  5. Stallions who are not purebred may not show in any breed halter class other than the crossbred halter class. If a crossbred breed is consistently popular, it will be added to the classlist on a regular basis.
  6. Horses may not enter more than one class from classes 4-16. For example, if you had a Quarter Horse who was also a pony (under 14.2hh), it may not enter both Quarter Horse and Pony halter. Please choose one. The same goes for entering a breed class and the "Other" breed class.
  7. If there is a breed class for your horse (ie: QH, TB, WB, etc), that horse MAY NOT enter the Other Breed halter class. The Other Breed halter class is only for horses that do not already have breed classes on the classlist.
  8. OWNERS may enter no more than SIX stallions per class.
  9. Horses must be registered in order to compete.

Official Classlist

What follows is the official monthly slow classlist that the RSR will use on a regular basis. Depending on demand and class size, we reserve the right to combine or split classes if we deem it necessary. Please also note that halter classes will ask for entrants to specify the breed of their horse. Classes with more than 8 of one breed entered will be split off into that breed's own class.

Young Stallion Classes

These classes are restricted to colts who are three years old and younger. They are not eligible to cross enter into any other sections other than the Restricted Halter Section. For class 44, please note which division your horse will be competing in.

Please note the age division of all stallions entered in this division. If the stallion is under three, please use the word Young as his age division.

How to Enter

To enter the show please follow the following format and e-mail it to me. Please use the subject ENTRIES: RSR 1.1 Show or your show entries will be deleted

  1. Copy the classlist. Under each class name, write:
    Horse owned by Owner from Barn.
  2. IMPORTANT! READ THIS LINE! Please note whether or not you need to include breed and age division of your stallion in the classes. If you need to include one, the other, or both, please put it beside the entry in parenthesis like so:
    Horse owned by Owner from Barn (Breed, Age Division).
    Example:
    8. Miniature Stallion Halter
    Little Bit owned by Beth Allan from ZSH (Junior)
     
    9. Appaloosa/Appaloosa Sport Horse Stallion Halter
    Punching Bag owned by Beth Allan from ZSH (Appaloosa, Senior)
     
  3. If you are from a mini barn, please enter as: Mini Barn @ Main Barn.
  4. Include a cheque for all entry fees and applicable ancillary fees.
  5. Failure to follow these instructions and to enter as required will result in the deletion of your entries.
